Chartwell – Envirobiz Waste Industry Summit Overview
Creativity, innovation and necessity are transitioning the waste management era into resource management era. Accordingly the 2009 Chartwell – Envirobiz Waste Industry Summit will bring together forward looking executives interested in participating in this new era. The sessions are designed to stimulate new ideas with case examples of innovative approaches saving resources, capturing energy value, and remanufacturing.
Thursday - November 12, 2009

Thursday morning, economist Jim Williams will provide insight into how to make comparisons between the energy potential of wastes and the fluctuating prices of traditional fuels like coal, crude oil, and natural gas.

Recovering the energy potential from wastes will be the focus of the Thursday AM session. The session will address both current MSW waste to energy as well as new technology expanding the opportunities for energy recovery.

Thursday afternoon will return focus firms providing insight into case examples of firms that are challenging and changing the conventional vision of managing post consumer “wastes”.

Friday - November 13, 2009

The Chartwell-Envirobiz Waste Industry Summit will conclude on Friday morning with a state of waste management briefing by Chartwell to provide its “big picture” interpretation of findings from recent research of grassroots market trends over the past several years.

The briefing will include a “first look” at what its 2009 surveys are finding regarding 2009 gate rate trends in the current recession. This will be the only Chartwell comments on the 2009 gate rate trends for both C&D and MSW until the full 2009 survey is completed.
